The WA men’s team set the Australian National Championships a light from the first tournament in 1984.  Winning the first 4 unofficial championships and 7 out of the first 10, they had no peer.  They were tough, worked hard and led by example.  They set a standard for the rest of Australia to follow.  They enjoyed their ball and they confidently worked towards maintaining and improving the standards they set.  They craved competition against the best and blazed a path for others to challenge them.

This Team dominated the first 2 Australian National teams (1988 & 1992) with 19 players named from 34.  A total of over 32 players from WA have gone on to represent Australia at 7 ISF world Championships and many international tours. With 12 National Championships from 30 years this Team is one of the most successful in all of Australia.

This team has a proud history of working hard on their game to develop a reputation of being the best. Travelling long distances to challenge their competitors in the fight to win gold was demanded.

We aim to continue the tradition of our past members and continue on the path they paved with an enthusiasm to work hard to be the best. Our challenge is to be true to the name Western Blaze and continue to set high standards and design a path for others to follow.
